Cancellation of the 2024 Digital Transformation in Government (DTiG) Conference and organizing a Celebration of Life for Robert Weisman.
Dear Members of ISACA OVC, AEA, CIPS, Ottawa U, UQO, and all other IT Professionals attending the DTiG conference,
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Robert Weisman, the esteemed Chair of the Organizing Committee for this year’s DTIG conference. In light of this tragic event, we regret to announce the cancellation of this year’s DTIG conference, scheduled to take place in June 2024.
Robert Weisman was a highly respected professional and a dear friend and colleague to many of us. His dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on many people, across many professional associations. We are deeply grateful for his countless contributions and the positive impact he made.
Given the circumstances, it is only fitting that we take the time to honor and celebrate Robert’s life and achievements. We are working diligently to organize a Celebration of Life event in his memory, where we can come together as a community to pay tribute to his remarkable legacy. Details of the event are to follow, in the coming days.
We encourage all those who knew and admired Robert to join us in commemorating his life and sharing our memories and stories.
We understand that the cancellation of the conference may cause inconvenience and disappointment for those who were eagerly looking forward to attending. We sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused to your plans.

Finally, we would like to express our deepest condolences to Robert’s family and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this profoundly challenging time. Robert will be sorely missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all.
